A spectacular snowball fight blasts us right into the holiday season with this Sports Direct ad, urging you to ‘Go All Out’ this Christmas.
Directed by Pulse Films' THE REST, the action-packed spot was developed by our London team with post-production, VFX and colour grade. Besides adding complementary CGI snow, snowballs and skies, our VFX work included paying homage to famous Hollywood battle effects – from the flurry of snowballs replicating the arrows scene in 300, to the bullet time effect on the golfer/sniper attack, making us feel like we're back in The Matrix.
The campaign, created by Mox, shows a myriad of sports stars exercising their skills in a radical snowball fight, including US Open champion Emma Raducanu, Olympian Jessica Ennis-Hill, golfer Andrew Johnston and footballers Jordan Pickford, Jack Grealish, Fran Kirby and Mason Mount. And of course, there's a cheeky cameo for grime artist Big Narstie!
