Nike have been on a roll recently, celebrating the 25th birthday of their ubiquitous “Just Do It” slogan with a roll-out of some characteristically stylish advertising.
Glassworks Amsterdam are proud to have been part of it all, working with Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam and Honey Badger on this cracking looking spot for Nike Turkey.
With a campaign designed to get people off the sidelines and into the activity, this concept was built around a human printing press powered by Nike athletes, on bespoke specially-built machines, using their power and skill to create unique fan posters.
Amazingly, the vast majority was lovingly captured in-camera. The machines themselves were built on location in Turkey, having been in planning for months and with construction starting 3 weeks before the shoot dates. The result is that each poster is truly unique; the differing combinations of power, speed and precision mean a different application of all the various elements on each one.
Glassworks Amsterdam were brought in – continuing a successful partnership with Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam – to unite all these ambitious elements together. A fantastic grade from Scott Harris brings the whole thing to life.
The result? A slick, impressive, tongue-in-cheek spot that is Nike through and through. I'm sure everyone wants to get their hands on one of those posters.
